Here is tried and true insomnia cure. Imagine and visualize your "happy place" that gives you comfort and peace. It could be in the mountains, or the desolation of the desert Southwest or a lazy day at the beach. It could be of a time, instead of a place, like childhood memories, or special events in your life. Concentrate on the positive memories and how they make you feel.

Another twist on this insomnia cure, is imagining or visualizing something complicated that forces you to methodically build something in your mind. As an example, take a house you're going to build. What does it look like? What is the architecture? What does the landscape look like? Where is it? Is it in the U.S., Europe, an island? How many bedrooms, bathrooms? How will you decorate it? Does it have a pool? etc.. etc... Build something complicated in your mind. This puts me to sleep.
